Govt Says Covid-19 Vaccine Is Efficient

Following the myths that are going around on social media regarding the Covid-19 vaccine, government has described the vaccine as efficient and user friendly.

Since government announced that it is working on securing covid-19 vaccine, people were questioning the ability and efficiency of the vaccine.

Speaking yesterday during the daily covid-19 updates in Lilongwe, Minister of Health Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda justified the government’s decision to secure the vaccine.

Kandodo Chiponda said some of the vaccines were overlooked as they require conditions that are unfavorable to Malawi, including storage temperature of negative-80 degrees Celsius.

On Sunday President Lazarus Chakwera announced that Malawi has secured the vaccine and is expected to be in the country by the end of this month, February.

Vaccine administration starts this March, with an initial target of 3.5 million people.
