High Court to deliver ruling three electoral case

The High Court sitting in Blantyre is this morning expected to deliver it’s ruling on the three parliamentary election cases, all from the Lower Shire districts of Nsanje and Chikwawa.

In the cases; Enock Chizuzu is challenging Esther Mcheka Chilenje’s victory in Nsanje North Constituency, Kafandikhale Mandevana is challenging Francis Kasaira in Nsanje Central Constituency while Sam Khumbanyiwa is against Foster Thipiwa in Chikwawa Central Constituency.

Justice Slyvester Kalembera will deliver his ruling at exactly 10am this morning.

The ruling comes a day before Malawians commemorate the first anniversary of what is being referred to as ‘Constitution Day’ that falls on February 3. This is the day when the Constitutional Court Judges nullified the May 2019 Presidential Election results.
