Police in Ntcheu have arrested a 20 year old man on the allegations that he raped a 66 year old woman.
According to Hastings Chigalu, Ntcheu Police Spokesperson the crime was allegedly committed in Kaziputa village in the area of Traditional Authority (T/A) Njolomole in the district.
Chigalu, said the man, Chifundo Ndala, is believed to have raped the woman along Linthethe River where she went to wash clothes on 28 January, 2021.
Ndala, who hails from Kaziputa Village, T/A Njolomole, is now at Ntcheu prison on remand awaiting trial on 12, February 2021.
