Death has been announced of Inkosi Mpando of Ntcheu district who succumbed to Coronavirus yesterday.
Spokesperson for the ministry of Local Government and Rural Development Anjoya Mwanza confirmed of the development.
According to Mwanza, Inkosi Mpando was receiving treatment at Bingu Nationla Stadium Isolation Center in Lilongwe.
Late Inkosi Mpando becomes the second Maseko Ngoni chief to succumb to COVID-19 following the death of Inkosi Njolomole in January early this year.
