The department of Museums and monuments has resolved the impasse between Salima District Council and some Chiefs over the alleged sale of a graveyard at Kamuzu road in the district.
The meeting was held yesterday in salima.
The district council spokesperson Grace Kapatula says the resolution has been made for the community intending to sale the graveyard to restart the process saying what they did is illegal.
Meamwhile Senior Chief Kalonga of Salima who is involved in the case has blamed the council and the lands department for denying them with information on land laws saying if this is not addressed such issue will continue in the district.
