Chief hangs himself to death in Dedza over COVID-19 relief fund

A village headman in Dedza has committed suicide after a a disagreement with his relatives over money government is distributing to villagers as relief for Covid-19.

Mtakataka Station Officer, Mackson Jere has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

According to Jere, reports says that the deceased identified as Village Headman Madziatchuli, real name Tasiziyo Bowman had disagreement with his relatives over the said money.

Bowman hails from the area of Traditional Authority Kachindamoto.
