Police in Phalombe are keeping in custody a 29 year old man for allegedly being involved in the murder of a 39 year old man in the district.
The suspect has been identified as Never Mwitha.
According to reports Macloud Magetsi was apprehended by an angry mob for suspected to have stolen a bicycle at Sunuzi market in Zomba district.
He was later brought to Mlomba in Phalombe where he was assaulted to death.
Meanwhile, Mwitha is in police custody as the law enforcers are still investigating the matter to bring more culprits to book.
