Man Hacks Girlfriend To Death With Panga Knife In Namibia

A 38-year-old woman died on Tuesday after she was attacked with a panga allegedly by boyfriend at Elavi B village in Oshikoto region.

Oshikoto police regional commander, commissioner Armas Shivute, said Evelin Matua was killed following a short argument with her 30-year-old boyfriend at the local cuca shops.

The suspect allegedly followed  Matua at her house and threatened to kill her.

The deceased attempted to ran away but the suspect chased after her and killed her.

Shivute said the suspect was arrested and is expected to appear in Tsumeb magistrate’s court on Thursday.
