Two fishermen are reportedly missing on Lake Malawi after the boat they were using capsized last night due to Mwera winds near Chizumulu Island in the northern Malawi island district of Likoma.
Officer In-charge for Likoma Police station, Active Mkandawire, said the fishermen were six in total and four of them managed to swim ashore.
Mkandawire has identified the two missing as Peter Nyoni from Traditional Authority Mtwalo Mzimba District and Mtendere Chiwiya from Traditional Authority Mkumpha in Likoma District.
The Officer-In-Charge has further said searching for the two is still underway.
