COURT IN NKHOTAKOTA JAILS A MAN FOUR YEARS IHL FOR ROBBERY

First Grade Magistrate Court in Nkhotakota District, has sentenced Patrick Njanje to four years Imprisonment with Hard Labour for the offense of robbery.

The court heard through the State Prosecutor Mickeas Chatsira that on February 20, 2021, a man identified as Thomas Chinganji was on his way home from a drinking joint and met the convict, who pushed him against a wall fence and robbed him of a mobile phone, wristwatch, and money.

Appearing in court, he pleaded guilty to the charge leveled against him.

Delivering his ruling, First Grade Magistrate Kingly Buleya has since sentenced the convict to four years IHL.

Njanje hails from Zavedo Village in the area of Traditional Authority Ndamela in Nsanje District.
