Mpinganjira’s Judge bribery case adjourned to Wednesday

High Court Judge Dorothy DeGabrielle has adjourned the Judge bribery case involving well known businessman Thom Mpinganjira to Wednesday, 2 June 2021.

The defence today only paraded one witness and the case was held in camera.

Mpinganjira’s lawyer Patrice Nkhono said the defence is expected to parade another witness tomorrow. This too will be done in camera.

When asked on the nature of the witnesses both the state and the defence refused to comment on the matter.

Mpinganjira, is being accused of attempting to bribe judges in the presidential elections case to favor former president, Peter Mutharika, and the Electoral Commission.
