Police In Mwanza have arrested a 26 year old man for allegedly being involved in human trafficking.
The suspect has been identified as Harrison Foniyasi.
Foniyasi was arrested on July 22, 2021 at a roadblock which was mounted at Mkulumadzi.
According to reports, Foniyasi had 12 males with him aged from 17 to 31 from Balaka District who were being trafficked to the Republic of South Africa (RSA).
Foniyasi said that he was taking them to the Rainbow Nation with an aim of finding jobs for them, when asked.
The suspect will appear in court soon to answer the charge of trafficking in persons.
Foniyasi comes from Kalimo Village, T/A Chilipa in Balaka.
