MANEB says no mandatory COVAX for teachers who are to administer exams

The Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) has dismissed speculations that only those teachers and security officers who received the Covid-19 vaccine will be allowed to invigilate national examinations scheduled to start next month.

MANEB’s Acting Executive Director,Dorothy Nampota has told the press that the board respects all the regulations, maintaining that taking a Covid-19 vaccine is one’s choice.

A message purporting that MANEB has made this directive has been making rounds on social media platforms.

The message has attracted mixed reactions with many lambasting MANEB Board.
