Vice President Saulos Chilima has congratulated Zambia’s President elect Hakainde Hichilema.
Hichilema was declared winner of the August 12, 2021 presidential elections by the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) last night.
“Our profound and sincere congratulations to our brothers and sisters of the republic of Zambia on the occasion of successful elections on 12 August 2021,” said Chilima.
He continued; “We congratulate the President elect and the United Party fro National Development (UPND) for the electoral victory on the polls.”
Chilima then prayed that Hichilema should be filled with deep wisdom and compassionate to lead Zambia with greatness.
“Our sincere aspirations are for the continued cordiality and warmth between between the people’s of our nations,” concluded Chilima.
Hichilema has unseated Edgar Lungu.
