Former Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) Commissioner Linda Kunje on Wednesday held a secret meeting with former President Peter Mutharika in Mangochi.
Kunje confirmed of the meeting in a statement posted on her official facebook page seen by this publication.
“FB…please keep these…Malawi is our land, APM is our Dad.. history can neither be rewritten nor erased. Soldiering on with heads held up high. This man rocks!,” wrote Kunje on her official facebook page.
But Kunje could not disclose what transpired during the meeting.
Kunje together with Jean Mathanga, Steve Duwa were fire by the High Court for not being duly elected.
The three together with the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) have since sued to court demanding for the nullification of the Court sanctioned fresh Presidential polls which saw President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera being declared winner.
The three claims that there was no Electoral Commission then and the case is scheduled to start this month.
