I would rather die than to sign my resignation letter; Alpha Conde tells coup leader Mamady Doumbouya

Ousted Guinea president Alpha Conde has refused to sign his resignation letter. Alpha Condé at his age is still stubborn

The rebellion has created more division among the Guineans. The deposed president has ordered his reinstatement and refused his submission proposal. The government nationalists have begged for his complete release.

ECOWAS deputation met with Conde and demonstrated that he is performing well.

The ousted Guinean president Prof Alpha Conde has reportedly declined to sign a letter of resignation despite having been overthrown and captured since September 5.

The condition of Conde who hasn’t been caught a glimpse of publicly since viral photos and a video appeared with him encircled by masked soldiers is still unknown.

Double African rulers have in the last few years been compelled to officially quit after the military took overpower.

The first one was was Robert Mugabe in Zimbabwe in 2019 and across Guinea’s border, Ibrahim Boubacar Keita in Mali, who was ousted in August 2020.

Despite his decision not to sign his resignation, Conde is also recorded to have explained that his determination to contest for a dubious term extension was in reaction to appeals by Guinean ladies.

Colonel Mamady Dumbouya opined in a meeting with the country’s elite “If we are here again this year 2021, it’s because you politicians, Ministers, and most diplomats have failed the nation and the people for your selfish interests.”

” I will not tolarate any dictates from anyone of you, any decision taken by me is going to be the decisions voted by the citizens,” Colonel Mamady after a meeting with political parties.
