Suspected thief arrested, Motorcycle recovered

Police in Kawale have arrested a 19 year old Andrew Chinsisi for robbery and recovers Dayun Motorcycle.The suspect committed the offence in the month of August, 2021 in Area 23, Lilongwe.

kawale Police PRO ,Mabvuto Phiri said the motorcycle’s owner, Christopher Kang’inga, who is a Kabaza operator in the area, stated that in the month of August 2021 the suspect hired him from Mwanje drinking joint to Kang’oma.Upon reaching Kang’oma power station, Chinsisi attacked the victim and went away with the Motorcycle.

Phiri said following the intelligence driven sweeping exercise on October 1, 2021, Area 23 detectives arrested Chinsisi who has been positively identified by the victim.

Further investigations have led the recovery of a Dayun Motorcycle on October 2,2021 which was sold at Kasinje in Ntcheu District.

The suspect will appear in court soon to answer the charge leveled against him.
