Emeritus Reinsurance partners IIM, donates MK3 million

Emeritus Reinsurance has partnered the Insurance Institute of Malawi (IIM) ahead of the Annual Lakeshore Conference slated for 28 to 30 October, 2021.

The company has since donated MK3 million toward event.

Speaking after presenting the donation Emeritus Reinsurance Managing Director, Christopher Mukwindidza, said the donation is for capacity building.

“You may recall that we had two difficult years where economies globally have been hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. We are lucky we are still moving on. We need to gather, discuss and agree. This is one opportunity that has been presented for us to map the way forward,” he said.

On his part IIM President Masauko Malaicha thanked Emeritus Reinsurance for the timely donation and he urged others to follow suit.

This year’s conference will be held under the theme “Adapt bodily in the discomfort of global change.”
