Malawi Airlines Obtains Court Injunction Against Striking Staff

Malawi Airlines has obtained a court injunction restraining the workers from proceeding with the strike aimed at forcing management to hike their salaries.

In the injunction, the employees are said to have lodged a fresh complaint to management to harmonise a salary disparity not an initial demand of salary increment.

The injunction has also been granted on basis that the employees deliver an essential service.

Leader of the group, McDonald Chuma said after receiving the injunction that an appeal will be made.
