Concerned Chewa Tribe from Dowa, Ntchisi To Hold Vigils At OPC

Information reaching this publication indicates that concerned Chewa tribe from Dowa and Ntchisi are scheduled to hold vigils at the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) in the capital Lilongwe.

This has been revealed in letter from the Office of the Deputy Inspector General of Police addressed to Commissioner of Police for Central Eastern Region Police Headquarters copied to Commissioner of Police Central West Police Headquarters dated October 29, 2021.

According to the letter, reasons for the vigils and dates are yet to be revealed by the organizers of the said vigils.

“This headquarters has received a letter from concerned Chewa tribe from Dowa and Ntchisi expressing their intention to hold a vigil at the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) in Lilongwe at Capital hill,” read in part the statement.
