Police Fires Teargas At Angry Minibus Operators In Zomba

Police in Zomba have dispersed minibus operators and community members who blocked the main road at City Boundary in protest of tollgate fees which government has introduced at Chingeni today.

The angry communities were demanding money from vehicles passing through the road while minibuses and taxis were not allowed passage.

Police have since removed the rocks and tree branches which were used to block the road.

Meanwhile, there is heavy presence of police along the road between City Boundary and Matawale.
