Fire razes down four shops in Nkhotakota

There was a fire accident in the wee hours of Wednesday at shops near Simsol Filling Station at Nkhotakota boma.

The inferno has affected four shops including a carpentry workshop consuming property worth millions of kwachas.

Chairperson of Nkhotakota Business Community Sheik Sulaiman Yunusu Ulaya, whose shop has also been affected, told us the fires erupted at around 4 am on Wednesday but it’s cause is not yet known.

Owner of the carpentry workshop Francis Vuso told us property worth about 5 million kwacha has been razed down.
