Angry Protestors Torch Police Container In Blantyre

Angry people in Blantyre who were taking part in the protests organized by Bon Kalindo  have set ablaze a container used as  police unit office near Nandos.

Which was planned to be peaceful demonstrations turned ugly after other people who were against the demonstrations started petting stones at their their rivals.

Following the development, officers from the Malawi police Service (MPS) who were present to provide security to the demonstrators started firing teargas to contain the situation.

There have been running battles between the police and the prospective protesters in the morning before Kalindo, the lead organizer of the protests came.

Kalindo is accusing the Tonse Alliance government of failing to address the socio-economic challenges that are rocking the country.
