Kalindo Claims He Was Forced To Cancel Demos

The former United Transformation Movement (UTM) director of Youth Bon Kalindo claims that he was forced to cancel his planned demonstrations..

But earlier, Blantyre Police spokesperson Peter Mchiza, told the media that Kalindo informed them that he has called off the protest for security reasons.

According to Mchiza, Kalindo says there was a section of people whose intention was to cause violence in the name of the demonstrations.

However, Kalindo said was actually forced to cancel the protests of which he said he won’t bow down.

“I will not give up, police forced us to cancel the demos, but I’m saying no,” Kalindo was heard saying before he and his group were dramatically dispersed.

The organizer of the demonstrations Bon Kalindo arrived in Blantyre CBD claiming he was forced to cancel the demonstrations.

He announced to proceed with the demonstrations but before long Kalindo and his group were teargased and dispersed.
