Mozambican arrested for possessing guns in Mulanje

Police Mulanje district have arrested a 29 – year – old Mozambican, Alumando Jose for illegally possessing three pump gun shells.

Mulanje Police Station spokesperson Gresham Ngwira said the suspect was arrested by officers who were manning Muloza Border Post.

He says Jose arrived from the direction of Mozambique to Limbuli Trading Centre.

Ngwira said when searched, he was found with the said weapons which he failed to account for.

He said following this, Police arrested him and seized the three shells.

Jose, who works as a guard at a certain company called Perfeito Commercial in Mulanje, will appear in court soon.
