Five DRC Nationals, One Nigerian arrested for Break In at Dzaleka Refugee Camp, Police recover 26 stolen tablets

Police in Dowa district has on Wednesday arrested eight people alleged to have broken into Umodzi Katubza Primary school at Dzaleka refugee camp where they went away with 98 Lenovo tablets, one laptop, and other accessories, all valued at K17,695,000.
Dowa police spokesperson, Gladson M’bumpha, has told us this morning that, of the 98 Lenovo tablets, only 26 have been recovered adding that investigations are still underway to recover the remaining items.
Among the eight suspects, five are from the Democratic Republic of Congo, DRC who are all refugees staying at the camp, two are Malawians and one is a Nigerian national.
