Mchacha says ‘DPP is out of power because it did not listen to the voice of reason from Malawians’

Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Regional Governor for the South Charles Mchacha has said the party is out of power because it did not listen to the voice of reason from Malawians and the media.

Mchacha said this during a joint media briefing between the party and the United Democratic Front (UDF) ahead of Sunday’s mega rally slated for Njamba freedom park.

“Sometimes when you are in government, you fail to listen to peoples’ concerns. We ask government not to frustrate the Sunday rally,” said Mchacha.

He said the two parties will use the Njamba rally on Sunday to apologize to Malawians on some atrocities the party might have committed while in power.

Mchacha then urged all Malawians to attend the rally, saying Malawians are suffering.

Former President Peter Mutharika and United Democratic Front (UDF) President Atupele Muluzi will attend the rally.
