Man kills his 8-year-old son with an axe during Christmas

ZIMBABWE – Police have arrested a 36-year-old father, Rangarirai Katsitsimera for murdering his son on Christmas day with an axe.

According to police, it is alleged that the now deceased Blessed reportedly stoned his colleague and the colleague went to report him to his father, in a fit of rage the father went to pick his son from the shopping centre and dragged him to his bedroom hut..

Upon entering the bedroom he beat him up with a switch and became more violent thereby picking an axe which he used to strike the deceased once on the head.
The son died on the spot and Rangarirai tried to conceal the murder by putting the dead corpse in the bathroom but he was spotted by his neighbour Yvonne Kandire who informed the police leading to his arrest.

Police are urging parents to jealously guard their children and avoid abusing them.
