Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Czar Martha Chizuma remains the Bureau’s Director General despite the leaked phone call conversation in which she was professedly discussing work related issues to unknown individual.
Addressing the Nation yesterday, the Malawi leader said despite being hurt by the sentiments made by the ACB Czar against his government in fighting corruption, he still feels that Chizuma is the right tool which will help his government in fighting corruption as it one of his Super Hi5 agenda.
However, Chakwera admonished the ACB boss Chizuma for lowering her guard in discussing sensitive ACB issues with an unidentified individual.
According to Chakwera, he evaluated Chizuma’s capabilities in the fight against corruption and overall still gives her a higher rating saying she is fit for the job and together with other agencies will fight corruption to its root.
The Malawi leader has challenged those who were plotting Chizuma’s downfall based on the viral clip to think twice.
