Security Guard Murdered By Unknown Thugs, Police Launches Manhunt

Balaka police have launched a manhunt for suspects who have murdered a 58 year – old guard, Felix Lungu of Kachenga village, T/A Kachenga, in the district.
Police report indicate that unknown criminals invaded his working place at a shop he was guarding, killed him and stole his bicycle.
Lungu, was found by a passerby on Tuesday morning lying helplessly on the verandah of the shop in a pool of blood.
He was pronounced dead upon arrival at Balaka District Hospital and a postmortem examination conducted by a medical practitioner revealed that death was due to severe head injury.
