Zambia Clears ‘Mzungu’ Bus Conductor

A Zambian of European Origin who recently caught the attention of many when he took up the role of a bus conductor has expressed concern about negative reactions because he is a white Zambian.

After he was widely covered by the media, the Immigration Department pounced on him to ascertain his true identity, and cleared him as a Zambian of foreign origin.

Speaking in an interview, Leslie Gilmore expressed happiness that the matter has been resolved and he can carry on his duties as a bus conductor.

He was seen yesterday in town doing his job as always.
