23-Year-Old Woman Arrested For possessing Medical Drugs in Zomba

Police in Zomba are keeping in custody a 23-year-old woman for allegedly being found in possession of medical drugs without a license.
Zomba Police spokesperson Patricia Sipiliano has identified the suspect as Mwayiwawo Bonongwe.
“On April 2, 2022, police received information that the suspect was operating a clinic at her house without a license. Officers rushed to the house of the suspect where a search was conducted and the drugs were found,” Sipiliano said.
She added that apart from the drugs, the suspect was also found with drugs and medical equipment which include a stethoscope, four blood pressure machines, a diabetes test kit, benzyl penicillin and contraceptives.
Bonongwe comes from Gomani Village, Traditional Authority Mwambo in the district.
