Malawian Nurse Who Insulted President Chakwera On WhatsApp Group Released On Bail

Police in Ntcheu have released on bail a Ntcheu district hospital nurse Chidawawa Mainje who was arrested Friday over alleged cyber harassment, has been released on police bail.
National Police Deputy Spokesperson, Harry Namwaza while confirming Mainje’s release, was mum on specific date when the suspect will be taken to court.
Mainje, through a WhatsApp forum discussion on 27 April, 2022 insulted President Lazarus Chakwera.
He hails from Malothi village, Traditional Authority-T/A Mlolo in Nsanje.
