Cement-gate case involving Chisale, Mukhitho transferred

Judge Redson Kapindu has transferred the cement gate case to the High Court of Malawi, Revenue Division.

This follows an application by the defense that the matter was better placed to be handled by the Revenue Division.

In his ruling on July 25, 2022, Kapindu says he has addressed his mind to the provisions of section 6A(3) of the Court’s Act and has decided to make no order as to costs.

The Cement gate involves Mahamed Shafee, Ahmed Chunala, Norman Chisale, Peter Mukhitho and Roza Mbilizi.
