More Pain For Kenyans As President William Ruto plans 6% Salary Cut For Workers

According to The Standard, President William Ruto is pushing for higher savings and wants to reduce take-home pay by up to 6%.

Workers who are already struggling with the high cost of living and hefty taxes will ultimately be affected by this change.

Earlier on Thursday, October 27, at State House, President Ruto met with lawmakers from the Kenya Kwanza Alliance to discuss the issue.

In place of the present Sh200 NSSF fee, the MPs decided to create legislation that would raise the NSSF contribution requirement to 6% of a person’s salary.
