Police in Mchinji have confirmed the death of a 48 year old man Joshua Phiri who was killed last night by an ambulance on the Mchinji-Lilongwe M12 road.
The Ambulance was heading towards Mchinji Boma from Lilongwe.
According to Mchinji Station Officer Charles James Mpezeni, Phiri was lying on Mchinji –Lilongwe M12 road when the ambulance hit him.
He was later taken to Mchinji district hospital where he was pronounced dead due to internal injuries.
The late Phiri hailed from Robert 5 village Traditional Authority Zulu in Mchinji.
