14-Year-Old Zambian Boy Takes His Own Life After Being Denied Access to Bathing Water

A tragic incident has occurred in the Mafinga District of Muchinga Province, where a 14-year-old boy has taken his own life by hanging himself.

The boy was denied access to water for bathing, which he had initially refused to fetch.

According to local sources, the boy, whose identity has not been revealed, was living with his grandparents in a remote village in the district.

On the day of the incident, the boy had refused to fetch water for bathing, leading to a disagreement with his grandparents.

Following the argument, the boy was denied access to water and locked out of the house.

Later that day, the boy’s grandparents found him hanging from a tree near their home.

They immediately alerted the authorities and the boy was rushed to the nearest hospital, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident and are currently questioning the boy’s grandparents and other villagers who may have information about the incident.
