Judge Simeon Mdeza denies suing Chizuma

Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that High Court Judge Simon Mdeza has denied suing Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director General Martha Chizuma over a leaked audio clip.

This morning, the social media was flooded with a court documents indicating that Mdeza has sued Chizuma for claiming that he is corrupt in a leaked audio clip.

But according to information published by Platform for Investigative Journalism, Mdeza is not aware of the case.

It is said that Mdeza has since informed the Malawi Law Society and Chief Justice on the matter.

“According to highly impeccable sources, Justice Mdeza was interviewed by police officers while investigating a previous complaint, understood to be the one lodged by former Director of Public Procecutions (DPP) but expressed to police he had no desire to press any charges or take any legal action on the clip,” reads part of information published by PIJ.
