Zambia – A 29-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly pretending to be a beautiful woman on social media and using this disguise to steal from unsuspecting men.
The man, whose identity has not been released to the public, is accused of using fake profiles to lure men into sending him money.
According to the police, the suspect created multiple profiles on different social media platforms using photos of attractive women to trick men into believing they were in a relationship with him.
He then used these relationships to solicit money from his victims under false pretenses.
The police launched an investigation after several men came forward to report similar incidents.
They were able to track down the suspect and arrest him based on the evidence gathered during their investigation.
