A man in his 20s has been arrested in Kawambwa, Luapula province, for allegedly engaging in sexual intercourse with a goat.
The suspect, identified as Chipute Silwamba from Chibwe village in Chief Munkanta’s area, has been charged with the offense of bestiality.
Luapula Province Police Commanding Officer, Fwambo Siame, has confirmed the arrest of Silwamba, who was apprehended around 2 pm yesterday.
According to Mr. Siame, Silwamba was caught by members of the public having sexual relations with the female goat in a rubbish pit.
The animal has been taken into custody by veterinary officers for a medical examination.
