President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has pardoned driver of former Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) Commissioner Linda Kunje as part of the Easter Holiday celebrations.
This has been revealed in a statement released by Minister of Homeland Security released on Monday made available to this publication.
Jones Tewesa was convicted together with Kunje for allegedly blocking President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera’s convoy along the Zomba road.
Chakwera pardoned Kunje in December living her driver in prison.
Apart from Tewesa, Chakwera has also pardoned 1999 other prisoners.
