President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is today attending the funeral service of late Mathews Eliazere Khondowe, owner of the famous Kang’ombe house in the capital Lilongwe.
The funeral service is taking place at Lingazi CCAP church under the Nkhoma Synod.
Chakwera is accompanied by his Vice Dr. Saulos Chilima and other Cabinet Ministers in the Tonse Alliance government.
Khondowe died on April 19, 2023 after suffering for a long period of time he was born on the 27th of April 1932.
Burial of Khondowe is scheduled for tomorrow in his home district.
