A Nigerian student named Big Bantin caught a lot of attention when he pretended to propose to his female lecturer at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria. The incident got famous on social media. In the video, Bantin gave the lecturer flowers while she was sitting.

The people watching got excited and cheered for the lecturer to say yes. The lecturer acted like she was surprised and covered her face before accepting the flowers. The video became very popular on TikTok. But later, it was revealed that it was just a fun and playful act, not a real proposal.

The lecturer, Ella Baliat, joked that the flowers were actually plastic and told Bantin to take his plastic flowers back. Bantin sent her a message in response.
