Mozambican Man and Girlfriend Suspected Allegedly Plot Sister’s Death for Wealth in Thyolo, Investigations Underway

Police in Thyolo are currently investigating the brutal killing of a young girl’s sister at a guest house.
The main suspects are a Mozambican man believed to be the boyfriend of the 22-year-old girl, Chikondi Samera.
The motive behind the gruesome act is suspected to be related to rituals aimed at obtaining wealth.
Rabecca Kashoti, the district’s police deputy publicist, has confirmed that no arrests have been made yet, and investigations are ongoing.
According to a police report, it’s alleged that Somera, the 22-year-old, convinced her 12-year-old sister, Mwai Phiri, to accompany her to the guest house, where the young sister was fatally stabbed in the navel.
