Govt to take care of all sick chiefs

The Tonse Alliance government of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera through Ministry of Local Government Unity and Culture has promised to take care of all chiefs who will fall sick.

The development has been revealed in a statement released by Secretary for Local Government James Chiusiwa who noted that that the country’s chiefs are not well supported when they fall sick.

Chiusiwa said that it is absurd that some royal families take sick chiefs to any health facility without the knowledge of the District Commissioner.

“Royal families should inform the DC in time. The DC should make arrangements to take them to a government hospital for decent care.”
