National repentance Malawi to launch 2024 prayers program

By: Mayamiko Phiri.

A religious grouping national repentance Malawi will launch a 150 days prayers program for 2024 on 15th January at Mtokota Baptist Church near Thyolo secondary School.

National repentance Malawi coordinator Reverend Edward Mikwamba disclosed this during an interview.

Rev Mikwamba stated that among several prayer petitions for this year, they will pray for good rainfall pattern as agriculture is a backbone of the country’s economy.

Furthermore, they will pray against devastating cyclones which causes deaths and distraction of property.

The coordinator qouted from the Bible 2 Chronicles 7 verse 14 which says ” if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then i will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

“We will also be praying for economy recovery as a lot of Malawians are facing hardship due to the recent devaluation of the kwacha.” Said Mikwamba.

Other prayer focus for this year will be praying against nepotism, homosexuality, witchcraft and pride among the county’s leaders.

According to Rev Mikwamba over 3400 intercessors across the globe will join prayers for Malawi on this day.

He has since urged all their branches across the country and others to pray for the nation on this day either from their homes, offices, churches and mountains.
