The family of overnight celebrity, Paul Mphwiyo, has demanded privacy from the media and the general public in this time when their family member is said to be recovering from gun-shot wounds after a failed assassination attempt on his life.
According to a press release from the family, Mr. Mphwiyo is co-operating with government and other investigators and, thus, the media should manage to offer some room for privacy for their brother, husband, uncle and relative.
The family has further stressed that the intrusion and endless phone calls to their loved one is affecting his recovery.
A budget director in the Ministry of Finance, Mr Mphwiyo was shot on September 13 and the result was a financial scandal at the seat of government, Capitol hill, known as the Cashgate scandal.
