Mayi Chimbalanga of Sendera Sisters joins MCP

Composer of ‘a Ngwazi Sendera’ hit song Mayi Mirriam Chimbalanga has dumped the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and she has joined the Malawi Congress Party (MCP).

Her defection follows massive exodus of DPP top officials to MCP and one of them being Uladi Mussa and Joe Nyirongo.

According to a photo circulating on social media seen by this publication, Mayi Chimbalanga has already been welcome to MCP fold.

Other reports also indicate that DPP Chitipa South Constituency MP Welani Chilenga has also defected to MCP.
