DPP MP Vuwa Kaunda denies planning to join MCP

Well-known Member of Parliament for Nkhata-Bay Central Symon Vuwa Kaunda has quashed rumours hovering on social media that he is on the verge of dumping the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).

The development comes barely days after he publicly saluted President Dr. lazarus Chakwera who is also leader of Malawi Congress Party (MCP) for trying hard to development Nkhata-Bay District.

Speaking in an interview with the press Vuwa Kaunda said he remains royal to the opposition DPP which is led by former President Peter Mutharika.

He then urged Malawians to disregard the rumours of him planning to join MCP, saying the rumours are fake.

Several DPP top officials have been flocking to MCP with the latest being the expelled veteran politicians Ken Msonda.
