Mdooka Visits Mteza Primary School In Lilongwe- Leaners Reported Fainting

Deputy Minister of Education, Nancy Chaola Mdooko M.P., visited the school in Lumbadzi, Lilongwe on Thursday following a clip that made rounds on social media concerning learners fainting at Mteza primary.

Mdooko encouraged teachers and community members to seek divine intervention saying the situation can best be dealt with God’s powers.

“Let’s call on the name of Jesus and all this will pass. There is nothing that can fail in the hands of God, for He is All-powerful and All-Merciful.” Mdooko said.

While appealing to the local leaders and the faith community to join hands in finding solutions to calm the situation, Mdooko assured the school leadership that the ministry will continue monitoring the situation closely.

Speaking earlier, Head teacher of the school, Jailot Mussa confirmed that 17 learners have fainted at the school in a space of two weeks.

“It has brought fear to both teachers and learners, and classes have been disturbed. But we have organized prayers to calm the evil spirits.” Mussa said.
